    A good thing:

One million more people have been lifted out of extreme poverty in Rwanda.

    A bad thing:

Children as young as six are working full time in 120 brick factories around Kathmandu. Working in brick factories exposes workers, especially children, to irreparable health damage including acute respiratory infections, spinal injuries and lung cancer. Black carbon released by the chimneys is a mass killer and is highly toxic. It is estimated that air pollution results in 1600 premature deaths per year in Kathmandu alone.

    A thing to change:

Greenpeace: The new Forest Code bill has passed through the Brazillian Senate and now it is up to President Dilma to decide whether or not it becomes law. The bill would provide amnesty to forest criminals and open up a section of hte forest larger than the state of Minnesota to possible deforestation.

Ask President Dilma not to sign the bill: https://secure3.convio.net/gpeace/site/Advocacy?pagename=homepage&page=UserAction&id=955&autologin=true&JServSessionIdr004=239bmj5qx3.app332a

About

Every day so many bad things happen in this world: people die of poverty, starvation, politics fails us and corruption damages.

But every day so many good things happen as well: breakthroughs in health, science and technology, governments committing to change and people having fabulous new ideas on how to see good occur.

What if we could take just one action a day, to fight the bad and/or help the good?

This blog aims to make us aware of a bad thing and a good thing that happens everyday. And, in addition, provide an avenue to do something in response. Every day a small action, to change things, to react and make a difference.

I'm traveling back to Australia for a few weeks and won't be able to post normally, I've queued somethings though and hope to be writing again soon.
